ETO (Ethylene Oxide) Indicator Labels
Our ETO indicator labels contain water-based inks that react to ethylene oxide exposure, providing a visible colour change when the correct sterilisation conditions have been met. These labels are crucial for quality control and regulatory compliance, ensuring that every batch of sterilised products meets industry standards before use.

How the Sterilisation Process Works
Ethylene Oxide (ETO) sterilisation is a widely used low-temperature process that eliminates microorganisms from heat- and moisture-sensitive products. The process involves exposing items to ethylene oxide gas within a sealed chamber under controlled conditions of temperature, humidity, pressure, and exposure time. ETO penetrates packaging and complex materials, disrupting microbial DNA and preventing reproduction, effectively sterilising the product. After exposure, a controlled aeration phase removes any residual gas to ensure product safety.

-
Complex Medical Devices
Ensure proper storage and handling of complex medical devices.
-
Catheters & Tubing Products
Monitor catheter and tubing products for contamination risks.
-
Custom Procedure Packs
Safeguard custom procedure packs during assembly and transport.
-
Electronic Equipment
Protect electric equipment from moisture and temperature extremes.
-
Wound care Dressings
Maintain sterility of wound care dressings to ensure effectiveness.
Goal of ETO Sterilisation
The primary goal of ETO sterilisation is to achieve a sterile, microorganism-free product while maintaining the integrity of delicate or heat-sensitive materials. It is particularly valuable for plastic, rubber, and composite materials that cannot withstand high-temperature sterilisation methods.
